The 4th International Power Generation conference & exhibition POWERGEN PAK 2011 will be held on January 11, with a theme "Power Efficiency & Pricing Challenges" at a local hotel at Karachi. Naeem Qureshi, Chairman Organising Committee of Power Gen Pak said the conference will provide a networking and business opportunities exclusively designed for power generation through coal, hydro, rental power plants, renewable, thermal, and fossil fuels etc and allied industries.
ENERGY UPDATE is organising the event, which will offer an interactive conference; enabling local and international producers, suppliers, distributors, marketers and users to talk on latest advancements being adopted and utilised world-wide especially in Asia Pacific Region, he added.
POWERGEN PAK 2011 is supported by Ministry of Water & Power, Government of Pakistan, Board of Investment, Government of Sindh, Mines and Mineral Department, Sindh, Thar Coal Energy Board, National Electric Power Regulatory Authority and Alternate Energy Development Board (AEDB).
Federal Minister for Water & Power Raja Pervez Ashraf will be the chief guest on the occasion and Secretary Ministry of Water & Power, Zubair Motiwala, Advisor to CM Sindh on Investment, Ajaz Ali Khan, CEO, Thar Coal Energy Board and Secretary Mines and Mineral, Government of Sindh, Khalid Mansoor, CE, Engro Energy, Safeer H. Shah, Registrar, NEPRA, Kalim Siddiqui, President BYCO Petroleum Business Marketing, Arif Allauddin CE, Alternate Energy Development Board, Professor Nasim A. Khan, VC, Hamdard University, Junaid Qureshi, S. Wajid Ali Shah, CTO, China Mobile & Independent Power Producers would deliver their speeches on the Power crises, problems & solutions, future targets, strategies, technological development & advancement, plan of action energy efficiency conservation and management, impact on economic growth and development in the country. A special session on coal energy and renewable energy will also be held on the occasion.
