Light rain/drizzle occurred at a few places of Peshawar and Hazara divisions and Kashmir. However weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country on Thursday. In its weather forecast for Friday, Meteorological Department said rain at scattered places with snowfall over the hills may occur over central and upper Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and north east Balochistan.
Rain/snowfall at isolated places is also expected over Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, while foggy conditions are likely to prevail at isolated places of upper Sindh, it added. About the weather outlook for next two days (Saturday and Sunday), met office said rain at isolated places is expected over Upper Punjab, whereas rain/snowfall is also expected at scattered places of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during these days.
Meanwhile, lowest minimum temperature - 10 degree Celsius was recorded at Kalam and highest maximum temperature 29.0 C at Lasbela, Balochistan. Minimum temperature in Parachinar (KP) and Kalat (Balochistan) on Thursday was -9 C, Skardu - 7.4 C, Hunza - 7.0 C, Gupis - 8.5 and Astore - 5.2.
