SGH extends free medical facilities

Pursuant to policy of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, free diagnostic and treatment facilities are being extended to the patients in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. The hospital administration has taken various measures for creating a patients friendly atmosphere in the hospital, while the number of patients has increased manifold. During the year 2010, 487614 patients visited OPD, while 348495 patients were provided treatment in emergency department.
According to details given by Sir Ganga Ram Hospital administration, 60603 patients got admission in the hospital whereas 34920 children were treated in children's emergency. Similarly, 36333 operations were conducted and 85433 X-rays, 49488 Ultrasounds, 3358 CT Scans, 739 MRIs, 1349 colour dopler, 496 mammography and 1519833 different laboratory tests were conducted during 2010.
