Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid) candidate M Rishad Khan emerged victorious in the by-polls for the seat of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly in Shangla constituency PK 87, Aaj News reported Saturday. According to unofficial results, Rishad bagged 19,130 votes while his rival ANP candidate secured 11,800 votes.
The PK 87 seat fell vacant after the death of PML-Q member. Polling for by-elections was held peacefully and no report of any untoward incident was received from any part of the constituency, the channel added.
