Under CM's Sasti Roti Programme, one more free food outlet has been started at Gates Wala Chowk Satiana road which was inaugurated by DCO Naseem Sadiq here on Saturday. This free food outlet has been arranged by local philanthropist chairman Pasban IT Group Major R Shahnawaz for the welfare of the poor and low-income people.
Speaking on the occasion, the DCO said that more free/cheap food outlets were being arranged with the generous co-operation of local traders and industrialists for providing the economic relief to the poor segment of the society.
He informed that 29 mechanical tandoors were also being established at the general bus stand, hospitals, green market, slum areas, poor and labourer localities out of them 3 mechanical tandoors were being run.
He appreciated the welfare services of the Pasban IT Group and said that the rich people should come forward for the better and rehabilitation of down-trodden.
Chairman Pasban IT Group Major R Shahnawaz informed that more than 200 people were being served with the free food daily at lunch time on Pasban free food outlet.
