Kisan Board Pakistan (KBP) has announced to observe February 5 (Kashmir Solidarity Day) in a befitting manner to convey a message to the world community that whole Pakistani nation honour and recognise the Kashmir freedom movement and sacrifices being rendered by Kashmiris for this cause.
KBP also urged the growers' community of Pakistan to fully participate in rallies and demonstrations being arranged on this day through out the country to express solidarity with Kashmiris and to register protest against construction of dams by India depriving Pakistan from its due share in rivers water.
Central KBP President Sardar Zafar Hussein and General Secretary Malik Muhammad Ramzan Rohari in a message on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day issued here on Thursday said water irrigating millions of acres of land in Pakistan come from rivers emanating from Kashmir. Now India was trying to construct dams on these rivers and depriving Pakistan from its share of water and turning its fertile land in to barren.
They also urged the government of Pakistan to play its due role in Kashmir freedom movement and stop negotiations with India. They hoped that the Kashmir freedom movement would soon succeed.
Sardar Zafar directed the millions of farmers to fully participate in rallies and demonstrations being arranged on this occasion and demand Pakistan government to start construction of Kalabagh Dam besides protesting against Indian dams. KBP leaders also criticised the role of the government on Kashmir issue and urged that it should highlight Indian atrocities on Kashmiris and its plan to construct dams in an effective manner at all the international forums to expose real Indian face.
