World community must take notice of the Indian atrocities and human rights violations in the Indian held Kashmir and support Kashmiris' struggle to attain their right to self-determination. This was stated by Noor Muhammad Jadmani, Pakistan Ambassador in Japan, while briefing a group of Japanese journalists on Kashmir Solidarity Day here Saturday, said a press release.
The ambassador called upon the international community to extend every possible assistance to the just cause of Kashmiri people and put pressure on India to stop killings of innocent Kashmiri Muslims. During last 63 years, over 90,000 Kashmiris have been killed by the Indian security forces to suppress their indigenous freedom movement but it has failed to weaken their strong determination, he added. The Ambassador said that sacrifices of the Kashmiri people would not go waste and their struggle for freedom would succeed. Pakistan would never abandon Kashmiris and would extend them all possible moral and political support on all international fora. Pakistan's principled stand on Kashmir had not changed and it wanted to resolve the Kashmir dispute through peaceful means, including implementation of UN resolutions on it.
