Two persons were crushed to death by an oil tanker while others were deprived of vehicles, two motorcycles and other valuables worth millions of rupees during last 24 hours in the federal capital. A speeding oil tanker crushed two motorcyclists at IJP Road in the jurisdiction of I-9 Police Station. Rizwan Ali and Ubaidullah were riding motorcycle RIR 4163, when an oil tanker no. LSB 8263 being driven by Muhammad Zubair crushed them to death.
Police arrested the driver and a case was registered against him. Also, unknown vehicle lifters stole two motorcycles bearing nos. SN-428 and LUM-60 from the residence of Hasnain in I-8/4 area, falling in the jurisdiction of I-9 police. Muhammad Arshad, a shopkeeper in G-9/1 was deprived of cable worth Rs 500,000. Margalla Police registered a case in which Arshad has nominated his employee. Police has started search of the accused.
Meanwhile, Islamabad Police arrested 16 persons during an operation against outlaws and recovered three pistols, one revolver, 1.5kilogram charas, 41 bottles of liquor and stolen commodities worth millions of rupees from their possession. Secretariat Police, during a routine check stopped Noor Khan and during his body search, 300 grams of charas were recovered. Shahzad Town police, during patrolling, stopped accused Usman Shah and recovered 1.2kilogram charas from his possession.
Upon information from Usman, police recovered one pistol (30-bore), while another pistol was recovered from accused Shafiq Ahmed during routine checking. It also recovered 10 bottles of liquor when it body searched Naushad Ali. Police also detained an Afghan national Yousuf Khan who failed to present any document to ascertain his identification.
Sihala Police recovered a pistol (30-bore) from an accused namely Rizwan Hussain, when he was stopped by a patrolling party. Koral Police recovered one revolver (32-bore) from accused Shahid Iqbal. It also recovered 31 bottles of liquor from five different accused namely Ibaduddin, Abrar Hussain, Qasim ali, Roedad Khan, Nasir Ali and impounded car no. LWN-6324 used for liquor transportation. Aabpara Police arrested an accused Junaid Abbasi driving motorcycle no. RIZ 4273 recklessly, and impounded the bike.
Six cases (two each in Aabpara, Kohsar and Nilore Police Stations) were registered against religious leaders for illegal use of loudspeakers during Jumma prayers.
Tarnol Police received a complaint from Shakeel Ahmed who was deprived of his Shahzore mini truck no. RIL-2229 by his driver Sheeraz. Unknown thieves entered house of Mudassar in I-10/1 in the jurisdiction of Sabzi Mandi Police Station and looted valuables such as laptop, computer printer and UPS etc. Islamabad police has registered a total of 24 cases against accused persons and is conducting further investigation.
