At least two persons including a cop were gunned down in separate targeted killing incidents in the metropolis here on Monday. According to police, some three armed men barged the Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Yaseen Junejo house located at sector 7-A North Karachi Bilal Colony and fired multiple shots on him when he was sleeping resultantly he received two bullets and died on the spot.
After committing the crime, the assailants managed to flee from the scene. Police said his body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for legal formalities. They said the victim was deployed in Ajmair Nagri police station and a father of one child. In another incident, a young man was shot dead near Pankha Hotel in the limits of Sher Shah police station.
The victim Azam, 27 alias Baba son of Javed, who was the resident of Art Chowk Lyari, was killed by unidentified armed men when he was standing near Pankha Hotel Shershah. The victim received one bullet on his head and died on the spot. His body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK). No case was registered till filing the report.
