Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has proven what lies beyond nepotism with her talent and performances in movies like ‘Highway’ and ‘Udta Punjab’. However, the actress recently revealed what movie of hers left her ‘heartbroken’.

Alia, who is currently thrilled for her upcoming movie ‘Raazi’, opened up about how she felt after the ‘Shaandaar’ debacle and how its failure changed her perceptive. "Touch wood, 90 per cent of my films fared well at the box office. But there has been one failure and because of that failure, I am calmer. For some strange reason ‘Shaandaar’ didn't work at the box office. I was heartbroken. I could not believe it," said Alia, who was present at Shah Rukh Khan's TV show ‘Lux Golden Divas- Baatein with the Badshah’, she said.

Alia also revealed what her father, producer and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt said to her at the time. "I turned to my father. He was the only person I was speaking to and then I went on a holiday solo to mourn the loss," NDTV quoted her saying.

"I felt terrible, but after that I [was over it]. The bandage has been ripped. I have faced my first failure and I will be ready for whatever comes. Getting up after the failure is very different. My father sent me this poster with Frank Sinatra's quote 'The best revenge is massive success.'”

Alia debuted in the Bollywood industry with 'Student of the Year' along with two other newcomers Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. Other movies Alia is preparing to feature in next year include Karan Johar’s ‘Brahmastra’ opposite Ranbir Kapoor and Zoya Akhter’s ‘Gully Boy’ opposite Ranveer Singh.
