The Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Friday sought reply from Inspector General of Police Punjab till March 14 in a petition of ten DSPs questioning unnecessary delay in their due promotion. Arif Rasheed and others submitted that their promotion to the rank of SPs was due since many years but the department's high ups had not granted them promotion so far.
Petitioners said Supreme Court had also ordered the department to promote them but the authorities ignored that order too. They therefore, prayed to direct the IGP to implement the court orders and award them their due promotion.
