MCB Bank has enhanced the salaries and perks of its clerical/non-clerical staff by 17 percent (excluding other allowances). An agreement to this effect was signed on Wednesday between MCB Management and MCB Staff Union of Pakistan (CBA) which is enforceable from January 1, 2011 for two years.
On behalf of MCB Management, Ahmad Kareem, Group Head Human Resources and Riafat Khan Jadoon, President MCB Staff Union of Pakistan signed the agreement at a ceremony held at Principal Office, Lahore. MUA Usmani, President, MCB Bank was also present on the occasion.
Addressing the meeting Usmani said the present inflationary pressures and the increasing cost of living have resulted in hardships for all segments of society including our clerical/non-clerical staff, which is an important component of our bank. Considering the same we ultimately reached an agreement to compensate our clerical/non-clerical staff in such a manner which will be beneficial for both the bank and the workers in the years to come. He hoped that this agreement will help all to grow and prosper together.
Riafat Khan Jadoon, President MCB Staff Union of Pakistan (CBA) said there is no doubt that we are important part of success story of MCB Bank. Our prosperity lies with the growth and progress of our Bank. We all are committed with our Bank to work hard with more zeal and enthusiasm for a better tomorrow. Concluding the ceremony, Ahmad Kareem thanked the staff union for its cooperation and support for reaching this agreement.-PR
