An activist of Pakistan People's Party was shot dead at Hassan Lashkari village in the limits of Garden police station. The victim, 52-year-old Tariq Lashkari, son of Haider Lashkari was targeted when he was standing near Shalimar Garden. Resultantly, he sustained bullet wounds and succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
Police said the victim, who was the resident of Hassan Lashkari Village, was the local president of Hassan Lashkari village. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK). Tension gripped the surrounding areas after the incident and shops and markets were closed due to uncertain conditions.
