A application has been filed before the Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking dismissal of Dr Majid Naeem, head of new online system of all education boards. The application was filed by Muhammad Azhar Siddique advocate also sought directions for abolition of the online system placed in the boards, which could not issue role number slips to students in time.
The main petition against new system of Matric exams is already pending in court. The petitioner alleged that Dr Naeem introduced the online system in boards in sheer violations of rules and regulations of all Boards of intermediate and secondary education (BISEs) in Punjab. He said due to the faulty online system thousands of candidates could not get role number slips and some got wrongly printed slips and failed to sit in the exam which started on March 7.
He said Dr Naeem played havoc with the career of all these students and he should be held responsible for it and legal proceedings may be initiated against him for his removal from the service in the 8 boards of Punjab. Siddique pointed out that corruption references were pending with national accountability bureau against Dr Naeem and he had already been expelled from government College University and Punjab University of information technology on corruption charges.
