Emaar Pakistan, the country's subsidiary of Emaar Properties PJSC - developer of the world's tallest building Burj Khalifa, has achieved another milestone at its ongoing Crescent Bay Project by completing the foundation works and launching the construction of the residential towers at Plot 5.
The under-construction towers in plot 5 and others being built as part of the 108-acre Crescent Bay development constitute a key feature of this seafront community, featuring a cluster of high-rise towers set along three crescent-shaped bays. Matt Cronje, CEO, Emaar Pakistan, said the highest quality standards and efficiency will be upheld on all aspects of Crescent Bay's construction. "Emaar has an accomplished track-record in developing iconic projects like Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building, and The Dubai Mall, the world's largest shopping and entertainment destination. We are bringing the same world-class standards to Crescent Bay."
The first buildings at the Crescent Bay project are being constructed by Paragon Constructors (Pvt) Limited with Engineering Associates Consulting (Pvt) Limited as the official Supervision and Quality Control consultants of the project. The project has been designed by an international consultant 'Design World-wide Partnership' based in Bangkok, Thailand.
Currently, construction is continuing in full pace and the Mezzanine floor slab has been poured at the South Tower. The towers are constructed on a 2.3m deep reinforced concrete raft capping an extensive 35m deep foundation piling system embedded into solid rock. Tower cranes have also been erected and the construction of the towers is undertaken using the Post-Tension method of construction, making Emaar Pakistan the first developer in Pakistan to use this construction technology for building residential towers. The whole project has been planned and is being developed by Emaar to enhance the Karachi skyline by providing a unique and quality residential, commercial and retail community in an exclusive and secured sector of the largest city in Pakistan.-PR
