Pakistan Muslim League, Quaid-e-Azam President Senator Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain Friday said that all the political parties are busy in achieving their political interests and no attention is being paid to resolve public issues. This was stated by him while talking to reporters at his Gulberg residence, here on Friday with his party MNA Marvi Memon.
Shujaat said that ruling elite is focusing on politics instead of resolving public issues. He supported the demands of 130,000 Lady Health Workers, holding protests for acceptance of their demands for the last two years. He asked the government to accept these demands and withdraw cases registered against them.
The PML-Q president also expressed extreme anger and resentment over the burning of copy of Holy Qur'an. Terming the incident a conspiracy against Muslim Ummah, he called upon the international community and United Nations to take an immediate and stern action against this highly deplorable act. Since this act has greatly hurt feelings of Muslims around the world, therefore, strictest possible punitive action against the individuals who have committed this unforgivable crime, he asserted.
