The Federal cabinet has approved amendment in schedule II Rules of Business 1973 necessitated after the omission of the Concurrent Legislative List and revision of the Federal Legislative Lists, under the 18th Constitutional Amendment: The amendments approved by the cabinet are as follows:
(a) the function "Mechanically propelled vehicles" reflected in entry No.4, under Communications Division, shall be deleted.
b) The function "State Lotteries: reflected in entry No.19, under Finance Division, shall be deleted.
c) The jurisdiction of the Function "Arms Act" appearing at No.22, under the Interior Division, shall be restricted to the Federal Ares only. d) The function "Federal control (in consultation with I&B Division) over administration of press and publication laws by the Provinces" appearing at Sr. No.6, under Interior Division, shall be deleted.
e) The function "Administration of funds raised by public subscriptions or donations which may be lying dormant" appearing at Sr. No.17, under the Interior Division, shall be deleted.
f) The function "Administrative control of Frontier Constabulary" appearing at Sr. No.37, under the Interior Division, shall be merged in the functions reflected in entry 21 under the same Division.
g) The function "Naming of institutions in the name of Quaid-e-Azam and other high and distinguished personages" appearing at Sr. No.16, under the Interior Division, shall be transferred to Cabinet Division.
h) The functions contained in entries No.15, 16,17&18 under Law Division, shall be amended to restrict their jurisdiction to Federal Areas.
i) The function "Shipping and navigation on inland waterways as regards mechanically propelled vessels, and the rule of the road on such waterways; carriage of passengers and goods on inland waterways' appearing at entry. No.4, under Ports and Shipping Division, shall be deleted.
