The Karachi Port handled 121,422 tonnes of cargo including 104,469 tonnes of import cargo, 16,953 tonnes of export cargo and 2,537 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 104,469 tonnes comprised of 23,794 tonnes of containerised cargo; 6,162 tonnes of general cargo; 1,687 tonnes of bulk cargo: 251 tonnes of wheat; 1,236 tonnes of coal; 200 tonnes of yellow peas and 72,826 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 16,953 tonnes comprised of 6,017 tonnes of containerised cargo; 420 tonnes of general cargo; 10,516 tonnes of bulk cargo: 4,474 tonnes of cement and 6,042 tonnes of wheat. Seven ships namely Yong Sheng, Kota Anggerik, MSC Ayala, Alpaine Penelope, Almathea, Laconia and Marcherokee with general cargo, two container ships, oil tanker, containers, bulk cargo and general cargo sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Seven vessels viz Marcherokee, Black Eagle, FSL Singapore, OOCL Dalian, Ital Ottima, TC Gold and APL Sokhna carrying general cargo, bulk cargo, oil tanker, two container ships, bulk cargo and containers respectively are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Neverland Sun, Ital Ottima and FSL Singapore with LSFO, containers and oil tanker respectively expected to sail on Saturday, while two ships namely OOCL Dalian and APL Sokhna carrying two container ships are expected to sail on Sunday.
Six vessels viz Dl Sunflower, Pertiwi, Marcampania, Shayan-1, Concord and Al-Khaliq with jet oil, chemicals, three container ships and wheat carrier respectively due to arrive on Saturday, while six vessels viz Botani Tribute, MOL Success, Al-Mirqab, Hyundai Long Beach, APL Shenzhen and Iron Butterfly with tallow oil, four container ships and project cargo respectively are due to arrive on Sunday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 90,890 tonnes of cargo includes 65,170 tonnes of import cargo, 25,720 tonnes of export cargo and 3,014 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours. The total import cargo of 65,170 tonnes includes 28,925 tonnes of furnace oil; 5,820 tonnes of palm oil; 10,100 tonnes of coal; 300 tonnes of chemicals and 20,025 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 25,720 tonnes includes 5,572 tonnes of wheat and 20,148 tonnes of containerised cargo. Two ships namely MT Primo Stealth and MT Theresa Blossom sailed out to sea on Saturday morning, while two container ships namely CV APL Chile and CV Glory are expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total number of seven vessels viz CV APL Chile, CV Glory, MV Sam Eagle, MV Tycoon, MV Shinyo Ayush, MT Primo Stealth and MT Theresa Blossom are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat, coal, furnace oil and palm oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Five ships namely Marguerite Rickmers, Chemroad Nova, Orient-III, Upper Court and Al-Soor-II carrying containers, palm oil, cement, iron ore and diesel oil are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of three vessels viz CV MSC Magali, MT Chemroad Nova and MT Al-Soor-II carrying containers, palm oil and diesel oil respectively are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively on Saturday. Seven container vessels viz CV Mearsk Georgia, CV Libra Ipanema, CV MSC Ayala, CV CSAV Itaim, Nedlloyd Drake, UASC Dammam and CV Pretivi are expected to arrive at Port Qasim.
