Teachers stage demonstration for their due rights

Government Teacher's Association (GTA) on Tuesday staged a demonstration in favour of their demands outside the Press club. Led by GTA office bearers including Mohammad Baloch, Haji Rustum, Sidique Mashwani and Rehmatullah, the participants chanted slogans against what they called indiscrimination being committed with the teachers of the province of Balochistan.
Vacant posts in the education department be filled forthwith, 50 percent promotion quota be implemented and salaries be increased, stressed the speakers adding teachers of the province are deprived of their due rights. They deplored that non-implementation of their demands have coerced academicians to take to streets and press the authorities concerned for implementation.
