British Prime Minister David Cameron on Tuesday visited the capital's iconic Faisal Mosque soon after his arrival here on a daylong visit. As a gesture to promote inter-faith harmony, Cameron visited the country's largest mosque. With his shoes off as a requisite act of respect, the British prime minister walked to various sections including the main prayer hall.
Baroness Saeeda Warsi accompanied the British Prime Minister. The Imam of the mosque showed Prime Minister Cameron the historic copies of Holy Quran written in different transcripts. Minister-in-waiting Senator Mian Raza Rabbani accompanied the visiting dignitary during his half-an-hour-long visit to the mosque.
