ACLC arrests 19 car lifters, recovers 36 vehicles

Anti Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) on Tuesday claimed to have arrested 19 car lifters from different parts of the metropolis and recovered 36 vehicles, weapons and fake number plated from their possession. According to SSP ACLC Javed Akbar Riaz, several teams of ACLC conducted raids at different parts of metropolis and arrested 19 persons including most wanted car lifters of the province.
He said that the department has recovered 20 vehicles and 16 motorcycles, three pistols, blank registration books and various stamps and seals from their possessions. He said the accused used these materials to make fake registration books, number plated, etc to deceive innocent buyers.
