The Karachi Port handled 91,041 tonnes of cargo including 45,549 tonnes of import cargo, 45,492 tonnes of export cargo and 3,294 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 45,549 tonnes comprised of 26,499 tonnes of containerised cargo; 62 tonnes of general cargo; 18,988 tonnes of bulk cargo: 11,000 tonnes of coal; 5,603 tonnes of DAP and 2,385 tonnes of soyabean meal.
The total export cargo of 45,492 tonnes comprised of 9,346 tonnes of containerised cargo; 330 tonnes of general cargo; 12,781 tonnes of bulk cargo: 2,452 tonnes of cement; 10,329 tonnes of wheat and 23,035 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Three ships namely Mako, Bow Victor and Bravo with crude oil, ethanol and container ship sailed out to sea during the reported period. Three vessels viz Yossa Bhum, YM North and APL Guangzhou carrying three container ships are currently at the berths.
Six ships namely Yossa Bhum, Eleanor-D, Orchid Ocean, Oriental Protea, alpine Eternity and YM North with container ship, wheat carrier, coal, oil tanker and naphtha respectively expected to sail on Saturday, while two ships namely Valdivia and Tan Binh-22 carrying container ship and soyabean meal are expected to sail on Sunday.
Three vessels viz Al-Badiyah, Valdivia and Wan Hai-605 with high speed diesel oil and two container ships respectively due to arrive on Saturday, while nine vessels viz MT Lahore, AS Ophelia, Cape Manuel, Al-Mirqab, Hyundai General, Bunga Raya Lapan, Lt Genova, APL Brisbane and Pacific Express with crude oil, ethanol, six container ships and steel & general cargo respectively are due to arrive on Sunday. Four ships namely DL Sunflower, Kormel, Kota Akbar and APL Zircon with naphtha, ethanol and two container ships respectively are due to arrive on Monday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 51,633 tonnes of cargo includes 37,265 tonnes of import cargo, 14,368 tonnes of export cargo and 988 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours. The total import cargo of 37,265 tonnes includes 16,263 tonnes of diesel oil; 8,327 tonnes of edible oil; 9,585 tonnes of iron ore and 3,090 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 14,368 tonnes includes 1,543 tonnes of cement; 3,441 tonnes of wheat and 9,384 tonnes of containerised cargo.
A container ship namely CV Glory sailed out to sea on Saturday morning, while a diesel oil carrier namely MT Al-Salam-II is expected to sail on the same day afternoon. A total number of seven vessels viz CV Glory, Warnow Sun, Orient-III, Upper Court, MT Al-Salam-II, MT Rdeim and Argent Bloom are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, chemicals, iron ore, diesel oil and bitumen respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely Green Line, Wales-II, MSC Magali and Golden Ambrosia carrying cement container ships and chemicals are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of two vessels viz MSC Magali and Wales-II scheduled to load/offload containers and cement respectively are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Saturday.
