It touched the intra-day high of 8,933.74 points and low of 8,840.89 points and closed at 8,845.59 points with a net negative change of -45.29 points or -0.51 percent lower than previous close.
The volume was 33,614,813 shares, which was 55.74 percent of KSE All share volume and 93.6 percent of KSE 100 volume. The KSE All Share volume was 60,305,447 shares and KSE 100 volume was 35,911,387 shares. BR Commercial Banks Index closed at 2,619.51 with a net negative change of -6.89 points or percentage change of -0.26 and turnover of 7,913,103 shares. BR Cement Index closed at 636.20 with a net negative change of -5.78 points or percentage change of -0.9 and turnover of 7,105,695 shares.
BR Oil and Gas Index closed at 2,509.95 with a net negative change of -8.35 points or percentage change of -0.33 and turnover of 2,169,051 shares. BR Tech & Comm Index closed at 432.97 with a net negative change of -0.85 points or percentage change of -0.2 and turnover of 1,475,162 shares. BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,733.71 with a net positive change of 11.14 points or percentage change of 0.65 and turnover of 1,345,203 shares.
