Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said on Tuesday that the government was committed to homogenous development of all the areas and it had disbursed maximum development funds to each and every constituency across political divide. He maintained that the parliamentarians should focus on the timely completion of development projects so that the fruit of development could reach the common man.
The Prime Minister was talking to Senator Dr Saeeda Iqbal, Minister for Narcotics Control Haji Khuda Bux Rajar and MNAs Syed Murtaza Amin and Ramesh Lal, who separately called on him here at the PM's Parliament House Chamber. The Prime Minister said that the government was following the policy of reconciliation to solve the problems facing the country, including the economic crisis.
The government, he added, had already started consultation with all the political parties to work out a comprehensive and long-term economic reform plan for accelerating pace of development and sustainable economic growth. The Prime Minister said that the government believed in strengthening of state institutions and was taking measures to improve the governance.
