Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa on the opening ceremony of 1st PHF U-18 Girls Hockey Championship stated here on Wednesday that hockey was the national sport and hopefully nation would regain its glory in the sport. He appreciated services of former Pakistan hockey captain and present PHF head Qasim Zia for services to the game.
Referring to junior girls in hockey, he averred that it was nice to see junior players representing the provinces of Pakistan. He assured that federal government would solve the problems faced by Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF). Governor hoped that Chief Minister Punjab gives answers in assembly and they in unison with him would lead the country to success, progress and prosperity.
