Appointment of Chief Election Commission: Parliamentary Committee approves rules of procedure

The Parliam-entary Committee on appointment of Chief Election Commission and Members of the Election Commission in its meeting held on Thursday approved rules of procedure for the conduct of its business after its thorough review.
After the approval of rules for the conduct of business, the committee elected unanimously Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Minister for Religious Affairs, as its chairman. After the election, the secretary of the committee congratulated its new chairman on behalf of the members of the committee and staff of the National Assembly Secretariat. Members of the Committee also congratulated Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah for his election as Chairman. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks from the Chairman of the Committee.-PR
