The Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Friday adjourning the hearing of the petition challenging construction of Park and Ride Plaza, Liberty Plaza, allegedly on an amenity plot, observed that no further adjournment be allowed to GOP, LDA or PHA and LDA officers should be before the court with record and plans.
Earlier, PHA had filed an application to seek adjournment of the case. Nobody from LDA was present, who was earlier directed to produce original plan of the disputed plot wherein Parking Plaza was built and was required to explain what is the plan to construct on HKB and Alfatah Street behind the Plaza.
Khawaja Saeed-uz-Zafar represented the Government of Punjab and LDA. Mohammad Azhar Siddique argued that respondents were intentionally lingering on the hearing by obtaining adjournments. He said during the pendency of the case they had already sold out 23 shops in the disputed project and roads behind the project which were being used by the traders had been blocked.
