A comprehensive plan has been evolved for the coverage of National Judaical Conference (NJC) set to be held on April 22. The plan was finalised during a meeting conveyed in the chamber of Registrar Supreme Court of Pakistan for evolving publicity plan for proper coverage of National Judicial Conference.
The meeting was attended by Registrar Supreme Court Dr Faqir Hussain, Secretary Information and Broadcasting Taimur Azamt Usman, Additional Registrar, SCP Habib-ur-Rehman Sheikh, Secretary LJCP Qazi Sajid Mehmood, Director to Secretary Information Tahir Hassan and Deputy Secretary LJCP Dr Mohammad Tahir.
The Secretary, Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan informed about the details of the conference and its Working Sessions saying that the inaugural session will be started on April 22 2011 at 4.30pm with the introductory remarks by the Secretary Law and Justice Commission and keynote address by the Chief Justice of Pakistan and will end on 7.30 pm by serving a dinner to the participants.
On April 23 the participants will be divided into 9 working groups in morning session for deliberations on different topics including suggestions for reform of National Judicial Policy, public interest litigation, ADR, responsibility of bench and Bar in dispensation of justice, eradication of corruption, strengthening of legal education and use of information technology in courts.
The concluding session will start on April 24 at 9 am wherein the Chairmen of thematic groups will deliver their presentations following by a concluding speech by the Chief Justice of Pakistan. The Registrar Supreme Court and Secretary Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan informed the Secretary Information about the importance of the event and asked for every possible co-operation for the proper coverage of the conference through electronic/ print media.
The secretary information assured of every possible assistance for the proper coverage of the conference and for live coverage of the inaugural and concluding sessions. Director Information Tahir Hasan was deputed to provide every possible assistance in connection with the coverage of the conference.
The press releases about different events /occasions of the conference will be issued by the Secretariat of Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan and sent direct to PID and other concerned quarters for proper coverage in print and electronic media. Official handouts about the program will be issued by the APP.
