All CNG stations in Karachi and interior Sindh will close down from midnight of Friday 22 April 2011/Saturday 23 April 2011 till noon on Sunday 24 April 2011. This was agreed in a meeting between the SSGC top management and the elected representatives of various CNG associations at the former''s head office on Thursday. SSGC''s Deputy Managing Director Azim Iqbal Siddiqui presided.
According to company announcement this decision was taken in the larger interest of maintaining uninterrupted gas supply across the company''s franchise areas in Sindh and Balochistan. The need for this decision arose in light of Bhit Gas Field Annual Turn-Around (ATA) which is in effect since April 12, 2011.
