Advisory to cotton growers

Punjab Agriculture Department has advised growers to complete cotton sowing till May 15 and use only quality, healthy, pure and disease free seed for sowing AS recommended by the department.
A spokesman of the department also advised that seeds should be washed before sowing and for this purpose phosphoric acid at the rate of one litre per 10-kilogram seeds should be used. He also said that seeds should be sink in a tub of water before sowing and only those seeds should be used which sink and not those floating on the surface of water.
