Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Muhammad Aslam Tareen has said maintenance of law and order is a must for economic development in the country. The CCPO has directed establishment of Darbar committees in every area of the city to make foolproof arrangement for protection of all shrines and Imam Barghas of Lahore.
He said the committee would further ensure that surveillance cameras are installed at all religious places, proper arrangement for late night lighting is made, whereas, parking stands are set up well away from the Mazars. He was talking to a 32-member's delegation of Shia and Suni Peace Committee of Darbar Hazrat Bibi Pakdaman which called on him at Capital City Police Headquarters, Lahore under the leadership of its patron Muhammad Ashraf Ansari and Chairman Raja Muhammad Qaisar. The CCPO further directed notables of the area and police officers, which are included in peace committee should do proper scanning of the devotees visiting the shrines.
