MOL Pakistan - a Hungary based oil and gas, exploration company on Saturday held a one day free medical camp at Alwargi Banda-Makori East-1, of TAL Block for provision of health care facilities to underprivileged communities, especially in areas of operations of MOL Pakistan.
The Community Relations Department of the company organised the camp in collaboration with District Administration Karak. The camp received great response from the local community and was highly appreciated by the District administration and local elders.
The visiting community elders appreciated the support that was extended by the MOL Pakistan to the local community and contribution in welfare and development of the communities in Pakistan in general and in TAL Block in particular.
Before the commencement of the daylong activity, a planning meeting was held with District Administration, Management of Health Department and local elders to keep them abreast of the development and to chalk out strategy to extract maximum benefits for the patients. Local community had already been informed of the free medical camp through banners and loud speakers for the last few days.
Medical team comprising 2 specialist doctors (One Male & One Female) provided free check up to the patients. The OPD remained in progress from 8am to 1pm. During the day's activity more than 410 patients, including a large number of women that were examined by the female doctor especially arranged for the activity, which was highly appreciated by the local elders. Free medicines were also provided to the deserving patients.
District Administration Karak and elders of the area appreciated the initiative of MOL Pakistan for the welfare of the local community. Officials of health department, Police department and local elders/ex-Councillors were also present at the camp and provided their full support.
Managing Director/CEO of MOL Pakistan, Erno Lipták while commenting on the success of the camp said, 'MOL Pakistan is thankful to the people of Makori East for availing the facility provided through free medical camp, and assures them that MOL would continue to come up with such initiatives, as it understands its responsibility, towards communities living in its areas' of operations."
MOL Pakistan cares for the welfare of the local communities in its operational areas. The medical camp was third of the series of the free medical camp held by MOL Pakistan. The first free camp was held at Makori of District Karak in May 2010, while the second free camp was held at Gurguri of the same district in December last year.
