A bill will soon be introduced in the provincial assembly to register all health outlets in the private and public sector to eliminate the menace of quackery, said provincial health secretary, Hashim Raza Zaidi, here on Sunday.
"We are very serious about the issue of quack doctors and the bill is with the law department which will soon be forwarded to the provincial assembly for final approval," he said while addressing a press conference here to launch 'Mother & Child Week', being held from April 25 to 30th in collaboration with National Programme for Family Planning & Primary Health Care Sindh and Unicef. Zaidi said that all stakeholders including Pakistan Medical Association, private doctors medical association, representatives of hospital in and private and public sector have been taken on-board in formulation of the bill to eliminate the chances of all lacunas, he pointed while replying to various queries.
