At least four persons including an activist of Katchi Rabita Council (KRC) were killed in separate incidents here on Thursday in the city. According to details, two bullet-riddled bodies were found in the jurisdiction of Surjani police station. The bodies, which are yet to be identified, were found from Block E Gulshan Surjani, Gaddap town, where unidentified men threw them from a car and fled.
When informed, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies. Police said the victims, who received multiple shots, appeared to be Afghanis. The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for post-mortem and later moved to Edhi Morgue for identification. No case was registered till filing of this report. Zubair, an activist of KRC, who was kidnapped earlier, was shot dead in the limits of Surjani police station.
Unidentified armed men on three bikes brought abducted Zubari to the area near Rehmania Masjid, Mahmood Shah Road and shot him and fled. Resultantly, he received three bullets and died on the spot. The victim Zubair alias Bobby son of Abdul Razzaq was a resident of Moosa Lane, Lyari. Police said the victim was kidnapped from Moosa Lane on the wee hours of Thursday while going to fishery and added that the victim was an active worker of KRC. A case was registered against unidentified men on the complaint of victim's brother.
A 15-day old body of a youth was found in a gunny bag in the limits of Azizabad police station. The body was found from a Nullah in Block-3 F. B Area, which is yet to be identified. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico legal formalities. Later police moved the body to Edhi Morgue for identification.
