As per information received from DGPR Sunday, Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has frozen all kind of postings and transfers in Tehsil Municipal Administrations throughout the province till June 30, 2011.
Secretary Local Government Punjab Khizar Hayat Gondal while presiding over a meeting of local government officers has averred that posting and transfers have been frozen to ensure timely completion of ongoing and new schemes of Local Government Department initiated during current financial year, at tehsil and union council level. Posting and transfers were hampering execution of development schemes and the recovery process.
