Newly-crowned champions Barcelona did without the majority of their first team when they wrapped up their La Liga campaign with a 3-1 comeback win at Malaga on Saturday. Coach Pep Guardiola had his eyes firmly fixed on next weekend's Champions League final against Manchester United and left the likes of Victor Valdes, Lionel Messi, Xavi and Andres Iniesta behind.
Malaga, who were safe in mid-table, struck first when Sebastian Fernandez was given time and space to fire past Jose Manuel Pinto in the 31st minute, but Barca levelled with a disputed penalty just before the break. Bojan Krkic went down in the area and the 20-year-old sent Wilfredo Caballero the wrong way from the spot. Barca finished with 96 points from 38 games, seven ahead of second-placed Real Madrid, who were playing at home to relegated Almeria later on Saturday.
