Arabica coffee futures bounced higher early on Tuesday, lifted by a weak US dollar, following two volatile sessions. The key July raw sugar contract climbed 0.76 cent, or 3.2 percent, to end at 24.35 cents per lb, the highest settlement for the spot contract since April 27. Spot month supported by firm white sugar prices due to pre-Ramazan buying by countries in the Middle East and North Africa.
July arabica coffee futures rose 2.50 cents, or 1 percent, to finish at $2.63 per lb. Market rebounded in its second straight inside day following two volatile sessions. Key September cocoa futures finished up $22 at $2,901 a tonne. Total volume reached 38,967 lots, the highest since April 8, according to Thomson Reuters preliminary data.
