Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is launching its "Hakoomat Hatao, Mulk Bachao" (Remove government, Save Pakistan) movement on June 25 by holding a mammoth public meeting at Sports Ground, Multan that will be addressed by the party's Chairman Imran Khan.
This would be the first nail in the coffin of the tottering corrupt leaderships at the centre and in all the provinces of the country. This was stated by Raoof Hasan, Media Advisor to Imran Khan. According to a hand out issued here on Tuesday, he said that Pakistan has been looted mercilessly like no other country in the world. It has been ruled, under one guise or the other, by the same corrupt coterie of people throughout the 63 years of its history. While they have become sickeningly rich with business empires and properties throughout the world, it is the poor state of Pakistan that has been rendered penniless.
Two meals a day have become a dream for a bulk of the people with more than 60% living below the poverty line and their self-respect has been compromised and their future jeopardised, he added. Thousands of innocent people have lost their lives to the illegal drone attacks that are being conducted with the connivance of the corrupt rulers who have gravely compromised national security and sovereignty and turned Pakistan into a client and subservient state for the sake of a few dollars.
Raoof Hasan further said that PTI has stepped out to change all this and transform Pakistan into a welfare state as envisioned by its founding father Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Imran Khan has proved his capacity and capability to deliver by winning for Pakistan the only World Cup in cricket to date, setting up and successfully running Shaukat Khanum - the world-renowned cancer hospital and research centre - and established Namal Colleges in collaboration with Bradford University. He said that June 25 would turn a new leaf in the history of Pakistan and would change it conclusively.-PR
