President Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry speaking at the closing ceremony of Mango Expo 2011 held with collaboration of Trade Development Authority Pakistan and assisted by Agriculture Department and District Government Hyderabad said the expo had achieved its objectives and more such events would be organised.
Participants from all sectors participated in the event. A large number of growers, exporters, fertiliser and pesticide companies, packaging firms, packing and processing plant manufacturers working with USAID Firms Project also participated along with them. Private juice companies making mango juice had their stall at the expo Agriculture and allied sectors including animal husbandry, Fruit Merchant Association and handicraft stalls were also present.
With the HCCI's policy of promoting women entrepreneur they were given stalls free of cost. Mango Expo 2011 paved the way for establishing of hot water treatment plant in Hyderabad.
Sindh Agriculture Minister Syed Ali Nawaz Shah, Advisor to Chief Minister for Mines & Minerals Imamuddin Shoqeen, Syed Hassan Alvi, Economic & Commercial Counsellor of Islamic Republic of Iran, Zonal Organiser MQM Muhammad Shareef Khan, Waseem Ahmed Member Provincial Assembly and packages, food processing industry representatives growers, exporters and others visited the expo and appreciated the efforts of HCCI in organising this expo. Seth Barkat of Barkat Packaging discussing the expo informed that he got a few new orders from this expo.
He further said that the farmers of Sindh province of Pakistan would benefit from such type of exhibitions. He further expressed that arrangements made for "Mango Expo 2011" were excellent.
Dr Khadim Hussain Soomro from livestock and Animal Husbandry Department said that such exhibitions are beneficial for farmers, exporters, cattle farmers and people concerned with poultry husbandry. He said they get first hand information concerned to these subjects. In this way these exhibition are helpful in promotion of economic stability in the country at large and Sindh province in particular.
President HCCI Gohar Ullah while welcoming Muhammad Sharif Khan Zonal Organiser MQM expressed that for improvement of trade and industry in this region the efforts of Mutahida Quumi Movement were worth mentioning.
Zonal Organiser MQM Muhammad Sharif Khan while visiting the "Mango Expo 2011" and exchanging views with Gohar Ullah President HCCI and other members of Executive remarked that holding of such expo would definitely help in economic stability in the country and Sindh province.
He further advised the Hyderabad Chamber to continue with such efforts of holding various exhibitions in the city. He said Quaid-e-Tehreek Altaf Hussain desires that the economic activities in the country be enhanced and he understands that improvement in trade, industry and agriculture sectors would bring prosperity to the people of this region.
He said that the District Government constructed Expo-Centre for it would go long way in the development of industry, trade and agriculture sectors. He further expressed that people must be benefited from the establishment of Expo-Centre in Hyderabad. On this occasion DCO Hyderabad Aftab Ahmed Khatri, Director General Agriculture Shahabuddin Siddiqui, DDO Hyderabad Abid Saleem Qureshi, Vice President HCCI Ziauddin, Former Presidents Haji Muhammad Yaqoob, Emad Siddiqui, Chairman Exhibitions & Trade Fairs Sub-Committee Dr M Fareed Qasim and Members Executive Committee Maqsood Ahmed Khan, Hamid Mehmood Nasir, were also present.
