Punjab Agriculture Minister Malik Ahmad Ali Aulakh has said the Punjab government is focusing on flood-hit districts besides ensuring measures in the areas keeping in view the monsoon season.
Addressing a meeting held in connection with flood fighting on Sunday, he said that an extra amount of Rs 3.95 billion had been provided for the rehabilitation of infrastructure of flood-hit districts. He said that free fertiliser and seed worth Rs 2.66 billion had been distributed among farmers of the areas adding that financial aid of Rs 12 billion under Watan Card Scheme had been given to 600,000 affected families.
