The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Tuesday filed a writ petition in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) High Court (HC) against the postponement of elections by the AJK Election Commission in LA-30 (Jammu and others) and LA-36 (Kashmir valley) belonging to the Jammu & Kashmir refugees living in Karachi and other areas.
Tahir Khokher, the parliamentary leader of MQM in the sitting AJK Legislative Assembly filed the petition in the AJK HC at Muzaffarabad. The AJK High Court has fixed June 30 as the date of hearing directing the respondents, including the AJK Election Commission to appear before it.
