Muslim Aid Pakistan, a charity organisation, under a six-month comprehensive healthcare and hygiene facilities programme 'Bureau of Population Refugees and Migrants' has provided healthcare facilities to more than 38,000 flood-hit people of district Charssada.
Muslim Aid Pakistan's Country Manager, Khobaib A Vahedy while addressing the closing ceremony of the project on Tuesday said that the US had provided grant of $0.1 million for the provision of comprehensive health facility to flood-affected people in District Charssada.
The officials from the district health department, Muslim Aid Pakistan workers and members of local community were present. Vahedy said that they had utilised funds in a fair manner for provision of facilities at Outdoor patient Department (OPD), primary health care, mother and child health care services (MNCH), blood screening laboratories, patient referral services, mobile health units and health and hygiene services. He said the organisation had also rehabilitated two basic health units (BHUs), union council Gulabad and Agra. He extended special gratitude to local community for their co-operation and support.
