Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) is going to organise a two-day conference from July 26-27 to observe its 50th anniversary. Pervez Muslim, Chairman Conference Committee ICAP stated this, while addressing the Golden Jubilee Media Launch at ICAP house here on Wednesday.
He said the ICAP is holding a conference from July 26-27 titled "Accountants and Social Responsibility" as part of its golden jubilee celebrations to highlight the significance of global trend. The conference will feature presidents of its counterparts from different countries and various top-notch professionals from the public and private sectors.
The moot will explore topics: resource mobilisation in developing economies: indirect taxation and fiscal deficit; poverty alleviation, accountants: catalyst 'for social development; green accounting; carbon trading and others. Zahid Bhatti, Vice President (South) ICAP, Hafiz Mohammad Yousaf Vice President (North), members of conference committee Adnan Zaman and Nadeem Yousuf were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, Shoaib Ahmed, secretary ICAP highlighted the vision of functions of ICAP through presentation. He said the members of ICAP are playing a critical role in accelerating the economic growth of the country.
