SUPARCO Institute of Technical Training (SITT) conducted the 2nd annual Water Rocket teachers' training workshop at SUPARCO HQs, Karachi, on 29 June 2011. The event was attended by 68 teachers of 35 schools from across the city. Secretary SUPARCO, Arshad H Siraj, was the chief guest on the occasion. The teachers were first given a presentation and then practised constructing and launching their own water rockets.
The teachers will now guide their students so that they may compete in the Water Rocket competition to be held during World Space Week this October. The teachers enjoyed the workshop and found it to be informative and interesting. Teachers' training will be held in six major cities of Pakistan, ie, Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta and Gilgit.-PR
