Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Javed Zia has said that there is no operation being carried out by army in any parts of the province. Law and order situation in the province is, though not satisfactory but one can notice much improvement compared to last couple of months.
He made these remarks while addressing the closing ceremony of Anti Terrorism Training for police organised by the Pakistan army here at Quetta Cantonment on Monday. Civil and military officials were present on the occasion. Corps Commander dispelled the impression of army operation in Balochistan as saying "there is no operation being executed by the army in any parts of the province".
"Concrete step towards the removal of the grievances of the local people would result into the revival of complete normalcy in the region", he said. He noted that law and order situation was improving in Balochistan and people of the province would observe massive change till 14 August.
It may be mentioned here that about 108 personnel of Police, Anti Terrorist Force participated in the 8-month long training course in the Cantonment. So far 260 personnel of Police and ATF have been trained by the Pakistan army during the three training courses held in the Quetta cant.
