Secretary General Jamaat-i-Islami, Liaquat Baloch has said the JI was trying to unite the religious parties on one point agenda to cleanse the country from the US agents. Addressing the participants of the JI monthly workshop for JI workers at Mansoora, he said, the PML-N had damaged its public image by extending full support to the PPP during the last three years while the PPP had been pursuing Pervez Musharraf's policies.
He said that the PPP and the PML-N were working on a two party agenda and both were responsible for the present mess in the country and the sufferings of the people. As for as JUI and MQM are concerned, he said both could take a U-turn any time and rejoin the PPP government. Baloch said that the JI was widening its contacts with religious parties on the political front in order to get rid of corrupt, incompetent and pro-US people. However, he said, this time, the corrupt people would not be able to attain the status of political martyr as their crimes would be fully exposed.
