One person was shot dead and two other injured over an old enmity, while four persons were detained by Capital Police for their alleged involvement in different cases. Over an old enmity, a group opened fire on Habibullah, Sattar and Ehsan in I-12 sector of Islamabad in the limits of Sabzi Mandi Police station, resultantly Habibullah died on the spot, while Sattar and Ehsan received bullet injuries.
Sabzi Mandi Police registered an FIR bearing number 333/11, against 12 persons nominated by the wife of deceased Qamar Gul in the report. The persons nominated are Allah Gul, Ubaid, Gul Nabi, Said Raziq, Jumma Khan, Bismillah, Noor Muhammad Anwar, Ajab, Bashir, Ishaq and Jamal. The accused managed to escape from the area and are still at large. The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals.
Sabzi Mandi Police arrested two persons Malik Nasir and Sabir Hussain in wee hours of Saturday who were drunk and were firing with pistol. Police arrested them and seized a pistol (9mm) and 11 bullets. Muhammad Usman was deprived of his Toyota Corolla Car LEA-360 from I-10/4 sector of Islamabad in the limits of Sabzi Mandi Police, when he was on his way to meet his friend. Usman informed the police about the matter.
Dr Mukhtar, a resident of I-8/1 sector of Islamabad was deprived of his laptop when some unknown thieves entered his house. I-9 Police registered a case against unknown thieves and started investigation. Shahzad Town Police during a routine patrolling stopped a person namely Umair in Alipur area and on search one pistol (30-bore) and two bullets were recovered from him.
Sihala Police recovered one gun (12-bore) and one repeater on the pointation of accused Muhammad Ishaq. Meanwhile, Islamabad Police have detained 15 wanted offenders in its drive against criminals following the instructions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Bani Amin Khan during last week.
IGP Islamabad said that task had been assigned to heads of 15 police stations to arrest proclaimed offenders and their performance will be reviewed in this regard on weekly basis. According to details, five court absconders were arrested by Bhara Kau police, four by Shehzad town police, two each court absconders by Shalimar and Golra police station, one PO and one court absconders by Industrial area police. IGP Islamabad has directed to submit a report regarding arrest of POs and court absconders on weekly basis.
