In Indian occupied Kashmir, veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Geelani has urged the people to observe complete shutdown on Wednesday and converge at Mazar-e-Shuhada, Eidgah in occupied Srinagar to pay tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs.
Syed Ali Geelani chaired a meeting of his forum in occupied Srinagar in which programmes in connection with the anniversary of July 13, 1931, were finalised.
The veteran Hurriyet leader in a statement issued after the meeting maintained that on the day a peaceful procession would be taken out from the Eidgah Mazar-e-Shuhada to Naqashband Sahib in occupied Srinagar, Kashmir Media Serves reported.
He urged the people to assemble at Martyrs' graveyard at Eidgah at 11 am on Wednesday to offer Fateha for all the martyrs and then march towards Naqashband Sahab. Expressing grave concern over the continued illegal detention of political detainees, Syed Ali Geelani appealed to the Amnesty International and International Committee of Red Cross to exert pressure on India for their immediate release.
