District Administration of the provincial capital on Wednesday started operation cleanup against encroachment in Shoba Bazaar, Khyber bazaar and Bajori Gate areas. The drive was initiated after the expiry of notices served on the traders. Officials of Traffic Police and Police department also participated in the operation cleanup with a view to resolve traffic related problems in the capital city and create more space for pedestrians.
The Police officials also advised the businessmen not to allow encroachment and to cooperate with the district administration. Meanwhile, the district administration has warned of strict action against illegal encroachment and those supporting it.
