Pakistan Peoples Party has distanced from the statement of Sindh Minister Zulfiqar Mirza against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and its leadership, terming it his personal views. A statement issued by PPP Secretary General Jahangir Badar on Thursday said, "The PPP recognises and respects Altaf Hussain as a legitimate leader of the MQM and anything stated to the contrary by any party member may be his personal view and not that of the party."
The PPP Secretary General also advised the party leaders to use temperate language in public statements in accordance with the Party policy of accommodation and reconciliation.
